Trust Deed Details

The objects of the Trust shall be as follows:

  1. To provide legal aid, advice and representation for the protection of rights of underprivileged and marginalized communities of Bangladesh.
  2. To provide legal aid and representation to impoverished prisoners who are unable to afford legal assistance.
  3. To provide legal aid and representation to disadvantaged members of minority communities.
  4. To provide legal aid and representation to victims of personal injury and injustice.
  5. To undertake public interest litigations for the protection of fundamental rights and democratic values in society.
  6. To conduct advocacy and liaise with government agencies and non-government bodies for establishing a just social and political order.
  7. To collaborate with academics, students and civil society organizations in furtherance of the goal of establishing social justice.
  8. To provide legal education and awareness to marginalized communities about their rights and legal remedies.
  9. To conduct research on legal issues affecting marginalized communities and publish findings.
  10. To organize legal aid clinics and mobile legal services in remote and underserved areas.
  11. To provide training to paralegals and community legal workers.
  12. To support legal reform initiatives that promote access to justice for all.
  13. To advocate for policy changes that protect the rights of vulnerable populations.
  14. To provide legal assistance in cases involving human rights violations.
  15. To support victims of gender-based violence through legal aid and counseling.
  16. To provide legal aid to refugees and displaced persons.
  17. To advocate for environmental justice and rights of communities affected by environmental degradation.
  18. To provide legal assistance to workers and labor rights cases.
  19. To support land rights and housing rights of marginalized communities.
  20. To provide legal aid in cases of discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, or social status.
  21. To conduct awareness campaigns on legal rights and available legal remedies.
  22. To collaborate with international organizations working on legal aid and human rights.
  23. To establish and maintain a network of pro bono lawyers and legal professionals.
  24. To monitor and document human rights violations and legal injustices.
  25. To do such other things as are incidental to or as the Trust may think necessary for the attainment of the above objects.
